About

Central Hindu Girls School (CHGS) is now an integral part of Banaras Hindu University and one of the oldest premier institutions for girl's education in the city. For the past over 100 years the schools has been imbibing deep rooted values for individualistic growth of children to prepare them to be democratic, responsible, dutiful and honest citizens. The school is presently imparting the education from Nursery classes to the Higher Secondary classes. Nursery and Primary Section, Kolhua implies co-education. After that, from class 6th onwards, the girls are separately taught in the Central Hindu Girls School, Kamachha Varanasi.

Drawing competition & exhibitions

Drawing is one of the best activities through which a person can show their thought and creativities. In each year many students participated in drawing competitions.

Hindi Pakwara

Each year in September Hindi Pakwara is celebrated. On this occasion students perform debts, play drama and participated in different competition.

Mehandi Competition

Mehandi competition is part of talent program to show best creativity of in form of designing.

Plantation

To encourage the relationship between human and nature, we encourage students to do plantation.

Swarodya

It is a musical activity in which students of performing Arts play different musical instruments to show talent. From last 4 year we conducted swarodya as school talent programme, in which different schools were participated. Our school won Ist prize in last year programme

Yoga session

yoga is the best of all activities to improve physical and mental ability of any person. Yoga is predefined activity in school. In each session yoga week is celebrated and students perform 5 mins meditation session before the start of the day in the assembly
